Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

I doubt it. It's an 0891 number, and they haven't worked for the last 10 or so years, so it's not like anyone's going to ring and get charged or anything.

They have played in again This Week and Last Week and have featured the Urban Chart 2 weeks in a row. Another problem with the new programme I noticed this week is they don't spend long enough on the singles chart as they try and cram a new release and the Video Vault into the last part aswell yet have little to fill in the first 2 parts.

I've had quite a few copyright claims from Sony/BMG, mostly on the Dance Charts. It just says that they can advertise on screen and keep details of the numbers viewing.

I didn't know chart show television have their own youtube channel. It would be nice of them to also put vintage chart show programmes on them, but I guess it wouldn't be possible, because record companies would then block some of the videos or would state copyright infringement :(

The new look Chart Show is on Chart Show TV now. So far there's been a new release followed by the Urban Chart. Interesting that they still use the play and fast forward graphics. I'll upload clips on my Youtube channel later.

This is quite sad really, what big business will do to protect their "intellectual property". I mean, watching an old episode of the chart show is hardly large scale piracy is it?
These companies really need to get a life!
I love Sony technology, but the Sony/BMG side of the business makes me not want to buy it any more.

Another good idea would be to run promotions on all 6 of the Chart Show music channels, it's going to get more people aware of them than a few trailers that are only shown on The Vault (and I haven't even seen these for a while). Maybe you could email him back with that suggestion. Certinally, Flaunt, Bliss & Scuzz are quite popular, so running promotions on there would raise a fair bit of awareness. And possibly they could trial showing the repeats on Bliss as well- after all, they show very similar music to The Vault. A few extra repeats scattered around the schedule wouldn't go amiss either. Gaz, maybe you could send him a link to this thread so he can read it and possibly reply here to our points.

One thing about the 1993-95 eps is that, as far as I'm aware, D2 is still in use, to a limited extent, in the TV industry, so transferring them would surely be cheaper than the older 1" tapes.

Are "Video Visuals" still the actual owners of Chart Show TV (inc Vault, B4 etc) or are they a different company now

Perhaps still the same company, but have change their name?
