Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

i asked this question ages ago on the forums and no1 repiled i asked wghat show was those massive twix logos where in on a saturday morning as a kid as i was too young to remember!

Simon Fuller is to launch a new music show using the Now! That's What I Call Music brand. He says it will have an interactive chart and promote unsigned or new brands. Doesn't say which channel it will be on.

Ah well .... back to the usual boring predictable stuff. At least the chart show gave us videos that would never be shown in normal circumstances.

At least the extra hour will give them the chance to show "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls a few more times ....

i sky+ the show to watch later and 5 mins into it i realised it was only on a few weeks ago so i just deleted it, so i didn't watch any classic chart show this week

Well folks, my chart show video has been removed from YouTube, because of copyright infringement. Its very sad that record companies with hugh amount of resources can just pick on individuals who upload old chart show vids, which can help promote artists. I'm not too sure whether another record company is going to remove my videos again, but with youtube, its the policy of "three strikes and you're out". This is what YOUTUBE has sent me below:

Dear Member:
This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP claiming that this material is infringing:
ITV Chart Show Top Ten (26th August 1989): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Y89PNM8ASdw
Please Note: Repeated incidents of copyright infringement will result in the deletion of your account and all videos uploaded to that account. In order to prevent this from happening, please delete any videos to which you do not own the rights and refrain from uploading additional videos that infringe on the copyrights of others. For more information about YouTube's copyright policy, please read the Copyright Tips guide.
If you elect to send us a counter notice, please go to our Help Centre to access the instructions.
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be subject to liability.
Sincerely,
YouTube, Inc.

Ive noticed in the 1987/88 shows that some videos got full plays and almost all got 3 mins whereas in 1993 some songs like Radiohead barely received 2 mins seems quantity of videos was more important than length of quality

Somebody has mentioned that The Vault sometimes has to re-arrange songs or even edit out some songs, because they need to fit in advertising scheduling. After all an episode of the vault would have 3 advert breaks, which are longer than those of the original version of 1997, which only had 2 advert breaks and were much shorter than the ones on the vault channel !!!! :D

One thing I've noticed about these repeats is not only have they gone out of their way to remove the ITV logo from the titles, there hasn't been a "Video Visuals" copyright caption at the ned of either episode they'e shown either, which has confused me somewhat. I can (sort of) understand why they don't want to show the ITV logo, but I don't know why they don't want to show their own logo at the end.

I just remembered by 2001 the programme that ran overnight was called Long Play, Hit Mix being the previous name.

I'm guessing, but I assume Long Play was a play on the fact that the show ran (for some of the time at least) for 6 hours, and with an E-180 VHS tape, recording in long play would give you 6 hours worth of recording time! I think the programme came to a halt around the time of the World Cup in Japan / S. Korea in 2002, Sky One began showing overnight programming, presumably for those people who were sitting up to watch the football, to give them something to watch. It certainly never reappeared not too long after that.

Well VickiVault from the Vault Forums is apparently "no longer with the company". I emailed her to ask if Classic Chart Show is still coming back as promised and I was given a new email address for a representative of the Vault, somebody called Sarah, so I've emailed her instead.

Now we play the waiting game. Fingers crossed, people! ;)

Well it seems that MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP did not like the Jive Bunny videos on YouTube. Hence, why they've removed my video. When I checked it out, all the Jive Bunny videos on youtube had the statement "this video was removed because MUSIC FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT GROUP has stated copyright infringement". Once I realised that, I had upload the video again, but this time remove the "offending" number 1 song. Its amazing how threatning a cartoon bunny is to a record company !!!

Theyve dropped the info they don't have a clue do they glad i cant see it. Did they use caption boxes or a stripline at the bottom of the screen.

I See they have there own youtube page now
