Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

I guess we should email them and ask if it's a possibility, the email address is on the website.

Also, I notice they've superimposed a "flashing warning" symbol over the Shamen video. Last year they just put a warning at the start of each episode. I guess it could be seen as better this way, in case anyone channel hopping comes across it.

Because Pepe were the shows sponsers back then and The Vault wouldn't have the right to show it. Along with the ITV sign.

If The Vault were going to show a repeat from last year, i'd have thought they would at least show one from a year other than 1992.

they have left the competition numbers in todays repeat
this could soon cause some problems
ive uploaded a video of it here youtube link
why will the leave the competition numbers in but remove all the tizer sponsor ads, its seems stupid because you cant enter the competitions but you can buy tizer, plus i'm sure ag barr doesnt care if the sponsor ads are repeated its very much a part of the show as anything else was.

I don't think that's right - someone took Sky to the small claims court several years ago and the investigation showed that the problem was where some channels (I think CNX was one of them) were giving the programmes one identity number when they first sent the EPG data, but then changing that number later when they updated the schedule. Even though it was the same programme, the different number meant that any recordings set up for the programme under the old number (which now no longer existed) would disappear.

How are the Vault repeats going? No activity on here for a month?

The viewing figures for the Vault are terrible I would be surprised if this channel survives if they don't increase soon.

Is there no schedule to the showings?

I am thinking of turning one of my dishes round to Astra 2/Eurobird after the New Year, just to record these 3 (or any other) episodes.

Any chance they might keep showing the Chart Show until then :-) ?

-regards,
rapido

The New Chart Show on Chart Show TV seems to only be on Mondays at 1pm now but I haven't seen a new one for a while. I think the one before Christmas and Monday 5th were repeats (from 2008 not 1990's) and last Monday they showed The Daily Fix.
I also liked it when Chart Show TV's Top 20 use to include new songs throughout as it was a bit like watcching The Chart Show but now they just go straight through the Top 20.

I think I remembered also the chart show also giving out merchandise such as cups with their slogans on during certain competitions. I would definitely love to have a chart show t-shirt. Although I guess its very easy to produce a t-shirt with a chart show slogan on it. I'm sure there are loads of places where you can get someone to put a chart show slogan on t-shirts, cups and other items :D

Yeah I think the times (Thursday @ 5 and Saturday @ 11) aren't great as most people will either be at work or out with the family. They should take a leaf out of Nick Jr's book and show them around 9pm at night so that us oldies can watch once the kiddies are asleep.

Yeah I used to have a copy of that show on VHS which was definitely on the 3rd of January as it had the credits of the first edition of the final series of Scratchy and Co just before.
A sense of relief considering it replaced the truly dire Tricky from the Autumn which I believe was produced by Chart Show creator Keith McMillan!

Also in the ad-breaks it had the winner of the "Refresh Your Head" competition get her face printed on Tizer bottles although none of them saw the light of day for some reason.

Yes it was.

The second one was October 12th 1991- which should have gone out the previous week, but they accidently put out the one that had aired 2 weeks earlier instead.

A part from one episode (20/12/97), which I have never seen before, the rest of the time, they are just showing the same repeats, which have been showed a week ago. Unless they start showing new chart show repeats, which they have not showed before, then viewing figures will go down and down. I wouldn't be surprised before the end of the year, if they scrap the chart show repeats !!!!

I glad its being repeated as i was too young to remeber the chart show I was more the CDUK era, so i glad i will be able to see the old Chart Show!

Plus i would rather watch a chart show these days with a rundown of old songs than some of the crap thats in the modern day charts today, i'll probaly end up liking this music when this gets repeated again than whats the hits of today!

Unfortunatly, I won't be able to help anyone with dating tomorrow's episode. In yesterday's quite wonderful ( ) weather, my motorised dish got blown out of alignment, so I can't recieve a single thing on it, and they can't get out to fix it until Monday. I'll have to wait until the Thursday repeat to see the episode myself, which is annoying
