Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

Thats the downside with these bittorrent websites, is that some days, you're lucky in managing to download something. Other days, you could be downloading at 0% for hours and hours. Its like a waiting game !!! :(

The past few times I've skimmed over CSTV's schedule, there's been no sign of it. If it's still going, my predicition is that there will be absolutely no bloody way they'd put that much effort into making a special episode; they never put any effort into the show itself. (Edit: Just looked again and there's an episode next week)

There's very little about CSC that entertains me. Flaunt is the only good dance channel I know, and whilst The Vault annoys me with is inconsistency and determination to destroy every original 4:3 broadcast in sight, it does show some fairly good tunes. The rest of the channels annoy me in one way or another, mainly due to the fact that they're so cheap. Take AnimeCentral - I'm in no way a fan of the anime genre - but they scrap the channel to bring us Showcase TV, a channel with no branding whatsoever, which merely simulcasts other CSC channels at certain times of the day. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely people who can get Showcase can also receive the rest of CSC's channels? Why bother having a "Best of" channel when people can freely change channels themselves? It's a waste of EPG space! I can't help but laugh at the blantantly false statements CSC give on their site, saying that literally millions of people tune in to their channels. Little to they realise the concept of channel-hopping, and they'd most likely change channels within seconds.

Just scrap the whole lot, and spend the budget on one great Chart Show revival for a mainstream channel. That's what you were made for, anyway!

*Takes a breath*

So, who else wants a rant?

That's what several of us have said, but ultimately life doesn't work that way. Sadly, it's likely they may never even try to bring them back again, and we'll never know if a different time slot would have worked better.

January 18th 1997 today. Overdue an episode from 1997- we've only had two so far, and the last one was back in January! Still praying for 1986-90 and 93-95 (and 96 pre-relaunch, if they can ever edit all the Twix logos out the titles).

And you're absolutly correct about which episode it is ;) I'm guessing the episodes we've seen over the past 3 days will be repeated throught the week, though I could be wrong. I'm going to have to drag myself out of bed at 8AM every day this week to be sure though.

Just to let you know, the Chart Show re-runs are on at 9pm every Monday night.

I take it though they have been on The Vault again for quite a while now?

Razdan1974 is now deeraz1974 and cray is chrishoy. Youtube wont win if they carry on like this the whole site will just be full of you've been framed type videos. Theyve removed most of the TV Burps as well at Avalons request just gets worse

It is whatever anyone wants to comment about the chart show. It's been going for 23 years so there's plenty to discuss new and old

Also over the last few weeks the new chart show seems to have dropped the information 2/3 into the video.

Same here, definitely a summer to remember.
Every track seemed to be brilliant in '96 like In A Room by Dodgy, Femal Of The Species by Space, The Day We Caught The Train by Ocean Colour Scene, Something For The Weekend by The Divine Comedy and many many more.

It was also the summer of footy and The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Radio 1.
