Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

I have a tape with no announcer at the end, but I do have the cd:uk promo, but that portion of the tape is damaged (loads of dropouts) and part of it is taped over. I did also have the SM:TV promo, but that was at the begginning of the tape, which is the one that got wiped.

Not much chance of that, they would rather show 1 hr of The Best Of 2008 on The Vault these days.

Saturday 20 June 2009
1 Mama Do - Pixie Lott (P)
2 Release Me - Agnes
3 When Loves Takes Over - David Guetta (P)
4 Red - Daniel Merriweather (P)
5 Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas
6 Knock You Down - Keri Hilson
7 Fire - Kasabian
8 Bonkers - Dizzee Rascal
9 Paparazzi - Lady Gaga (P)
10 Kiss Me Thru The Phone - Soulja Boy

I don't think so. The whole thing is automated, someone's probabally programmed the computer wrong. This sort of thing happens all the time these days. We'll have to wait for Thursday and see if they show the right one then.

great episode this week (as always).

interesting that the seal video for future love paradise wasn't the same as the one shown on 11 may 1991

I noticed when i saw the Sky programme guide for the chart show the channel is described as pop, dance and r&b so that would explain why it has moved away from indie and rock

Dont have the Vault on Virgin no fair. It would be interesting to see if the showed 1995 episodes how they would remove the Twix references.

Any chance anyone has taped it and can upload it to Myspace.. hint hint Razdan

Yes, I'm watching it right now, and they have messed around with the order- the Video Vault and the Chumbawumba video were orignally shown after the Coors video in the first part. I'm not really sure what the point behind messing with the running order really is, it seems silly. Although the (stangely captionless) competition segments were edited out on the 2007 showing of the episode, which is unusual as it's usually the opposite way round!

Something else I've noticed is whoever edited this episode together has messed up and swapped the order of the picture fields around- which is why the captions and some of the videos look all jerky. If I was recording it (which I don't need to, as I already have it), it is something I could easily fix in Adobe Premiere though. I'm suprised nobody working there noticed...

Though obviously if they were to show the Twix logos, they'd get into a lot of trouble. I still wonder why they remove the Video Visuals logo at the end though- it's their own logo!

Hmmm.... it's a different one today! I'll get the date as soon as possible.

Edit: Here we go, look like April 5th 1992.

I wonder if it's going to permanantly be 2 episodes a week, or maybe the Sunday episode is repeated the following Saturday? Guess we'll have to see. I hope it's the latter- it gives you a chance to catch up if you miss one showing.

I'm hoping that maybe because of the problems last weekend it's had to be replaced just for this week so they can sort it out.

Is the new version still going and if so did they do a end of year special for 2008? The channel doesn't sound like it knows which way to go. Perhaps it isn't able to compete with 4 Music channels and mtv channels and may disappear.
