Classic Chart Show Showing On The Vault 356

Dunno, at least then they showed the parts in the correct order, only the ad breaks in the wrong place. No annoying competition details either.

I'm not sure at all, what makes you so sure?

I just don't see the difference between having a paid sponsor and a free sponsor. And we already know the reason why they aren't showing the Twix era shows.

Just watched this weeks show back on You Tube (only joking - it's on my SKY plus :D ).

Weren't East 17 the original Chav group? I'd forgotten how council they were. Interesting to see what 15 years have done to Brian Harvey on last nights Eurovision selection show.

I always got and still get a buzz when seeing the intro for the Top 10 with the Big Wheel and balloons with that fantastic music, and the rocket preceeding the Number 1.
I reckon the tune for the Indie Chart sounds very similar to The Stone Roses!

Oh yes you're right. I got it wrong, but nonetheless I presume the adverts would be much longer than the adverts that was shown on ITV and therefore maybe the vault had to edit or re-arrange songs to fit in the advertising schedule. Thats what I think why the vault re-edited the chart show, but then again I could be wrong. Who knows !!! :D

I'm not wanting to put up too many episodes for various reasons, I do have the 21/12/1991 edition which I'm going to put up at some point, someone's sending me some editions from 1993 & 1994 as well (he says he also has the 1995 Special, and is trying to find it)- I'll put at least a couple of them up. I do have a few other editions, most are missing bits though, which prevents me from putting them up.

The tape I got with the 1988 Xmas special also had the first 2 editions from ITV (both missing the end credits sadly- which means I won't be putting them up) and the 30/4/89 edition (which is complete).

By the looks of the forums, I think this'll be what we all have to do to catch a glimpse of any episodes.

...except you jammy buggers who have a load of them on tape. :p

You can just pop up to B&Q or Maplins or somewhere which sells those 50 quid portable satellite kits, as The Vault's an FTA channel, it's all you need to recieve it- something like this should be enough. Just stand the dish in the window or something. I only have an FTA motorised setup myself- not Sky or Freesat.

hopefully there will be some other years broadcast soon, as sticking to just 1991, 1992, 1997 and 1998 is going to get a bit tiresome fairly quickly. I would love to see some shows from 1993-1996 and in the long run, if the repeats are successful and can justify the costs of transferring old episodes, a showing of some vintage episodes from the 80s.

Today was April 18th 1998- clearly after reaching the end of 1997 they've decided to skip over 3 1/2 months! They didn't re-edit the order of songs today, but they did chop off the first half of the end credits for some reason!

James, The 1991 Special you put on YouTube is fantastic. I love the episodes between 1991 - 1995. The title sequence is grrrrrreat! and I must apologise for the stupid questions I keep asking sorry mate
