Classic Cartoons Thread#1: nostalgia goodness for everyone!

:rotfl: It's been a long time since I've listened to that song. Especially when its sped up.

Yup. Haven't really watched it but you could never forget the face. I'll probably look it up online later.

Who could ever forget the old Tom & Jerry cartoons from the Fred Quiraby era? Texas Tom and Uncle Pecos.

"If You're Ever Down in Texas, Look Me Up"

I really liked how they drew Tom in those days.

Oh, Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse. It was so bad but a funny bad. :P

Does anyone remeraber Felix the Cat and Woody Woodpecker?

Bamm-Bamm was always my favorite part of the Flinstones.

I use to watch those cross-over episodes with both the Jetsons and Flinstones together. ;)

Oh, when it go closer to Christmas, I use to love The Flinstones Christmas Carol. :D

Oooh Rocky and Bullwinkle :sigh: I remeraber when they showed it, especially with Boris and Natasha.

I remeraber after the commercials are done, there was this clip in which Rocky and Bullwinkle were trying to avoid the lightning but they got struck, got buried, and then grew along with crops of corn.

And of course the Peabody shorts.

Hanna Barbara cartoons were great! I used to love the Olympic Hanna Barbara cartoon special. There was Snagglepuss, and others. That evil laugh he had.

Some classisc I've liked:
Tom and Jerry
Flinstones
The Jetsons
Care Bears
My Little Pony
Rainbow Bright
Pound Puppies
Muppet Babies
Smurfs
Master of the Universe He-Man and She-Ra
Bugs Bunny and all the Looney Toons
Thundercats
Inspector Gadget
Charlie Brown and all the Peanuts characters
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Droopy
Winnie The Pooh and all the associated characters

The dog and the chicken (from the 1980's). Anyone remeraber what the cartoon was called?

There maybe others I can't think of right now.

Just got back from watching the YouTube versions of Looney Tunes where Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck keep arguing whether it's rabbit season or duck season.

No matter how many times I watch it, it's still hillarious

I think this thread can stick around...although IMO, 80's and 90's cartoons aren't that classic...but eh...we have different perspectives on what's classic  ;)

I always liked the very "old school" Scooby Doo shows, not the "What's New Scooby Doo" that they air today (although kudos to the fact that the voice actor for Shaggy lended his voice to both series)
