I'm surprised that the only classic cartoons that still air are Hanna-Barbera, DCAU, the occasional Looney Tunes, some Disney stuff, and a couple of the original NickToons.
There's over dozens of classic cartoons that should still air and I'm sure would do well in the ratings.
Example:
Alvin and the Chipmunks (especially after the success of the movie)
Rocky and Bullwinkle
School House Rock
Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids
Inspector Gadget
He-Man
Thundercats
G.I. Joe
Transformers (especially after the success of the movie)
ORIGINAL Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Beetlejuice (it was successful on two different networks at the same time and was also an early hit for Nick)
Bobby's World
The two Sonic cartoons from the early to mid `90s
The list goes on...
