[*]Janes Addiction - Ritual Habitual
[*]Alice in Chains - Dirt
[*]Soundgarden - Badmotorscooter

There are some interesting selections on that list. I'm really surprised you picked Ritual de lo Habitual over Nothing's Shocking, and that Soundgarden record is awesome, but I believe it's BadMotorFinger

I don't know if its just the digital transfer that SST did of it but my CD copy of that album sounRAB absolutely dreadful. Its one of the worst mixing jobs Ive ever heard (you can barely hear the drums when Ginn's playing) and its got by far one of the worst, flattest drum sounRAB Ive ever heard.

A remastering job is long overdue on Damaged and The First Four Years. Black Flag have never sounded as good as they desrve to on CD.

Maybe, I don't know her personally, but its just sooo far off the mark. I mean, a voice that contorted from commonality would require one to talk ****ed up, to a certain degree.

I thought whole point of this was to pick albums we thought any music fan should listen to, not neccessarily the ones that have shaped musical history.

Does it really matter if an album was important to musical history if its full of filler?

^^^^^
I would second ATRIBE CALLED QUEST-THE LOW ENDED THEORY great album with the bare minimum of instrumentation.

KRUDER & DORFMEISTER-THE K & D SESSIONS-a remix album may sound a strange one, but this is a perfect example of remixing-totally changing the sounRABcape of the original tracks, yet still making it perfectly accessible.

Yeah it was , I was under the impression Live At The Apollo was the same sort of thing , but I don`t really know enough about James Browns early work to be sure.

Grainmetal oh yeah, I forgot about Masterplan. That is a classic. Not sure about SOTSOG though? I didnt think it was as bad as everyone said, but I wouldnt put it down as a classic.

OK here`s a few

13th Floor Elevators - The Psychadelic SounRAB Of The 13th Floor Elevators (1966)
The birth of psychadelia

Stevie Wonder - Innervisions (1973)
Stevie brings electronica & politics to soul and recorRAB his best album in the process.

Tricky - Maxinquaye (1995)
The best album ever recorded by a British black solo artist

MC5 - Kick Out The Jams (1968)
The sound of a revolution on an album

The Stone Roses - S/T (1989)
Without this you can kiss goodbye to most things that came out of the UK in the 1990s

Primal Scream - Screamadelica (1992)
Acid house becomes a legitimate musical movement

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (1996)
First album ever to be made from 100% samples

Brian Eno - Another Green World (1975)
Way ahead of it`s time predating most arabient music by about 20 years

David Bowie - Low (1977)
