Clash of the Titans 1 STAR :o

just his opinion though aint it. seen 30 mins of the film and to me it looked fantastic...! great action, brilliant effects, the medusa scene far surpasses even the original.

As for Liam Neeson as Zeus, he deserves an Oscar for being dressed to resemble a '70s era Barry Gibb wrapped in tin foil.

:D

Ain't it cool has a review, which isn't too bad I guess, great art direction and FX, Mount Olympus and the GoRAB are supposed to be awesome, Perseus a bit of a whining git. But surprise, surprise, the biggest issue is the 3D, it wasn't shot in 3D, therefore nothing was framed or set up for a 3D movie, and as a result looks abysmal, I mean really, really bad, so I'll definitely see it in 2D, and even save a couple of squiRAB too. Still looking forward to it, I just wanna see some good monster action!!

Critics, bar none, or infinitely ignorable. In fact it's a racing certainty that anything they say will be wrong, so do yourself a favour and stop wasting your time reading, or listening, to them. With a bit of luck they'll die out as a species and do the world a big favour.

I liked the 1981 version with Harry Hamlin. Brilliant special effects for the time. I'm a bit fed up with computer generated special effects TBH and I think some current films are more style than substance.

Yep, I agree with this. They are no more important than you or me in giving a view of a film - the difference is that they get paid or have "credentials" in rating a film but really you don't have to take their views to fault.

I was disappointed. The special effects were spoilt by being too dark, and the camera was zoomed in too close to the action so that we could only see small bits of things flailing about. In the original stop-frame animated version, you can see things properly.

harsh.. but quite funny!

I saw it last night, I found it to be okay but I haven't seen the original version. The 3D didn't add anything to it though.

I was really hoping that this film would have been great, as I was planning on buying the DVD when it was released. I'm really hoping these reviews are just from awkward people who can't be pleased.

This film is not great, but it's not a 1 star movie either. It's mediocre, not terrible. You can enjoy it if you're in the right frame of mind and don't take it too seriously.
