clarification on a strange bug?

i killed as bug in my window and i want to know what it was
it was red
its body was a centemeter long.
it has the body of an ant.
wings pointing back down its body like ^ but long
and a gnarly stinger on the back thats atleast an inch long and a centimeter longer than the body
