Civilizations that built sky pictures---?

While some ancient civilizations built (Mayans, Aztecs, some North American Indian tribes) structures/pictures that could only be seen accurately from the sky, I do not know of this occurring in Chinese ancient culture.
All the ancient civilizations that built these structures/picture, I believe disappeared!
If they did disappear, what do you believe happened to them?
