civilisation has been surviving without any sog telling them what to do or not.
why only humans,what about animals,plants,viruses,spores and what else?
don't those species deserve attention?
There was real science in Greek, Roman and Egyptian cultures. Of course religion attacked it and burned most of that knowledge leading to the Dark Ages. It knocked about 1500 years off our knowledge level.
As Gazoo said there was science in a lot of ancient cultures, and don't forget the ancient Chinese too. But as he said, religious persecution destroyed it until the Renaissance.
