Am i missing something? no thread on this film on RAB? surely not?

Straight into my top 3 films when i saw it earlier this year, top acting, top cinematography, top story - TOP EVERYTHING!!!!! :eek: :eek:

only say cos it was on Channel 4 last night

anyone catch it?
 
I've got the DVD of this film. Not only is the film a great watch, the documentary that comes with the DVD is both interesting and disturbing.
 
good stuff guys - i was genuinely shocked when there was no thread on RAB for this, spose its just not that mainstream a film and maybe not geared for everyones taste - nost people on here seem to be talkin about Ghostbusters 2 or My Superhero Girlfriend (or something like that!) - City of God is, er, "quite gritty" :)

must watch that documentary Gort, sounRAB worth it
 
It was on S4C last night and I came across it by chance. What an eye opener of a film. It woke me up, and is the best thing I have watched for a long time.

Might search out the DVD now, just for the added documentary.

ps, I don't usually do subtitles but they were forgotten within 10 mins. [that says it all]
 
It has scored 8.7/10 on IMDB from a total of 55,074 votes and is #18 on the top rated films on there. Just goes to show how great this film is. I have got the DVD but haven't watched it for a while, and am thinking of getting City Of Men as well. This film and Pan's Labyrinth just goes to show how fantastic foreign films have been recently
 
Most of the films in UK theaters are foreign films (from the US).

I agree that there are a lot of good films made in non-English languages. It's a pity we aren't open to watching more of them in English speaking countries. (Of course there is also a lot of crap made in those countries too, but we just hear about the good movies.)
