Cirque du freak sequel, does anyone no any news

Okay, i don't know if there has been a thread on this because i hardly ever go on the movies thread.

Does anyone know if (and if so when) there is going to be Cirque Du Freak: The Vampires Assisstant sequel.

Never say never but I wouldn't hold my breath for a sequel. It did very poorly during its theatrical release. It made less than $14 million in the USA and $25 million in the rest of the world. Based on that, a sequel seems very unlikely.

apparently its on 45 mill worldwide (including DVD etc) and had a budget of 40 mill.

But here isnt any offical stats.

I don't know any news but i really hope there is not a sequel. I hated the film and it was nothing like the books

I loved the books... but haven't seen the film, I think it would have done better with a lower budget release rather than polishing it too much.

I really enjoyed this movie, have never read the books, nor was i previously familiar with them, apart from checking up and researching about this movie.
as already mentioned, i already know that it did poorly at the box ofiice, so i highly doubt there will be a sequel

over the last couple of years, there seems to be a surge of movies based on teenage readers books, that are set up for further sequels (obviously, because they are always based on a series of books) - but then do poorly at the box office, thus no more can be made. Erogan was another i can think of, from the top of my head (which was terrible anyway)
However, i quite enjoyed Cirque De Freak and would of liked to see more.

I hope there is a sequel, i enjoyed this movie.
