Circumcision

I gotta say, I'm with Matthew on this one.

You're right peteratwar, it would be silly to cut off the earlobes of little girls. Forced circumcision is just as silly.

No, I did not. The doctor that delivered him did with the blessings of his parents. I have no more to say on this subject ..... been there, done that, glad I did, don't care what or why (real or imagined) others choose to do. To those that possess the equipment, as delivered or modified, I wish you well with what is yours. To those that possess only an opinion, think what you will.

Unless my screen is deceiving me, you said:

"My ears stuck out when I was a teenager. My grandparents offered to pay to have surgery done to make them look 'normal'. I would not have liked it, methinks, if they had decided to do this when I was born. I didn't have the surgery then, and don't intend to now."

...then, you said:

"Besides, I gather gunk behind them and my mother never taught me to clean behind them. Surgery is definitely the answer."

Make up my mind!

Ofcourse lets just start chopping off little girls earlobes. Ear lobes serve no purpose. Same thing; people wouldn't think about mutilating a little girl, by cutting off her earlobes, but happily cut the most sensitive part of their sons penises off for no reason.

circumsion has no hygenic or helth benifits whatsoever, i challenge anyone to demostrate otherwise. it is a religous invention and its orignialpurpose is to prevent masterbation and sodomy. i think that matt is a bit extreem in his comments about this, it is not the most senstive part of your penis by any means, and im sure the sort of possible complications he suggests are rare. I can certanly sympathise with his strong feelings on the matter though, it is an sick anti-homosexual practice, to alter the body of an infant in an confused attempt to prevent homosexuality. Anyone who is going to engage in sodomy should use propor protection and lubrication anyway, though - but its really a matter of principle.

at any rate, even any of the proposed benifits of curcumsition should be up to the individual being curcumsized, not his parents while hes an infant. its an unhelthy tradition to, at birth, inhibit your chilRAB ability to masterbate. The forskin serves the purpose of bolth a natural lubricant, and protetction for the otherwise skinless end of the penis - its important and jsut should not be removed.

even worse is female circumsition - a deeply disturbing issue that i wont get into here. i caution anybody who may wish to look into that on their own that it is possibly one of the darkest sickest parts of our modern world.

For myself my son's opinions are immaterial in many cases. That's why they call them minors. What bothers me is your concern for little boys' penises. :xangel:jk
When do you not care how your own family chooses to live their life? Sorry to poach Dono. I just love sparring with Sigma. She's a sharpie.

I'm sorry, I know you don't intend to say more on the subject, but I am still unclear exactly what you mean. Why are you being so coy? You either did or did not circumcise him.

You voiced your opinion many posts ago. What you are doing now is crusading .

You're a woman, but yet you insist on telling me that I can't have a preferrence because I haven't experienced it both ways?! What's wrong with this picture?

Look up obsession in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of you holding a handful of useless foreskin. :wow:

That's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. In my opinion, piercing ears is an absurd barbaric practice. Are your ears pierced? Do you know that there are serious complications that can arise from improper piercing? And most piercings are done by people that aren't trained in sterile techniques?
And did you know that there's no health benefit what-so-ever from piercings?
Should I start a crusade against the barbaric act of ear piercing?

Screens tend to do that ;)

I was being sarcastic through most of that post about the reasons people want to circumcise their kiRAB. Some in this thread said you aren't normal if your not. I specified when I wasn't kidding because I was kidding during the rest.

I considered getting the surgery when it was offered, but I have been long past the need to look 'normal'

No, what I'm doing now is answering criticisms. What are you doing?

I'm sorry, when did I say I'm a woman? You cannot have an authoritative preference if you have zero experience with anything else. You seem to be trying to validate something about yourself that you cannot change and had no choice about. Don't worry, the comb-over just makes it look thicker. Really.

I see. You have no criteria to distinguish between concern and obsession. Allow me to create one: If I post about this issue to the exclusion of everything else or if I find excuses to bring this issue up in every other issue I'm discussing without provocation, then I would be obsessing. Currently, I am doing neither of these things.

Actually, my ears are "pierced" already. It's a birth defect.

If people were routinely piercing their newborn's ears or tatooing makeup on them in some misguided attempt to make them more attractive when they get older you bet your ass I would make a stink about it. It's absurd. Neither of these things are as bad as circumcision, too, since there is an almost guaranteed change in sexual sensation with circumcision. At least with those other actions it is merely your appearance that changes (if nothing goes wrong).

The beauty being that if your son is with a woman that prefers circumcision, he could have still gotten it done. He cannot get back what he lost, however, and there is a loss. My opinion is that he should determine who he trying to sexually attract, not you at his birth.

There continues to be slim to no benefit to having your son circumcised, unless aesthetics is really more important to him.

I, unfortunately, cannot research this subject at work since anything related to sex appears to be blocked :-\ I don't know why the site you provided is not, though.
