That they're minors isn't an excuse, imo. They
will grow up, and can make this decision if they feel any desire to, with little loss for the wait. I guess I'm not understanding why this decision
must be made at birth. You cite cosmetic reasons and Dono cites his apparent fear of abnormal foreskin, but neither of you can possibly know if either of these reasons will come into play in their lives
at all. Dono is doing just fine making this decision in his 30s, and his son might have it done earlier if a problem becomes apparent.
What is it that you both fear? That your sons will decide not to have it done?
The same concern I have for little girls mutilated at birth for cultural reasons

It just doesn't make sense to me.
Surely I care. I also care enough to
let them live their life; I don't make it a practice to deprive my family of choices under faint justification.
Sinjin, I don't think your son will be trying to attract girls with his penis between birth and the time he's old enough to know the difference; and if that's the deciding factor for a girl he's with I don't think you'd want him to be with her anyway. If he finRAB a nice girl who prefers circumcised men he can still have it done. It cannot be undone, however, if he finRAB a nice girl who thinks uncircumcised men are just fine.
