Circuit City Closes ALL Stores Nationwide, Problem for Verizon Wireless

Well, Circuit City Stores Inc. recently filed bankruptcy. They have been ordered to vacate all stores nationwide. This is great news for some customers who enjoy Circuit City--Blow Out pricing!

Verizon Wireless has a kiosk in nearly every Circuit City Store nationwide. They are considered direct stores and are full service stores, in most areas. They offer the same deals as the normal stores do. Customers sometimes prefer the Circuit City VZW Stores because they are generally faster and can help you the same as any Verizon Wireless store.

When Circuit City closes, these stores will no longer be available. Verizon Wireless makes 1/3 of its new sales in Circuit City Stores. This could mean a serious marketing downfall. The local Circuit City VZW Store in the town I live in will not be closing as Circuit City does. Instead, Verizon Wireless will be building a new location for those employees to work. It is a win situation and the new store will be one of the few multimedia stores. This store is expected to open within 4 months (before Circuit City closes).

I am certain Verizon Wireless will be doing similar things nationally. Find out what your local Circuit City VZW Store will be doing...post it here. Also, how do you feel about this [Circuit City Stores Inc. Closing nationally].

Oh wow - I didn't think of this. I doubt the one near me will be building a new store out side of Circuit City (Exton, PA) since the 'big' VZ store is in the town over, but I'll have to ask them next time I'm in there.
