I'm going to be switching my service provider from Sprint to Cingular when my contract expires, and I was wondering if you guys could suggest a phone to get.

in terms of what im looking for:

-flip would be nice, but if its a brick i dont really care
-camera
-email maybe?
-???

i'd like to keep prices somewhat low considering im on a college budget, but if its something good i might spend a little more.

i've been reading about the 8525 and it seems like a badass phone but i dont think i would need the extra features (or the price). what else is out there?

paging Mendes?

im just glad to be leaving sprint

edit: i also chose cingular over VZW because theres a cingular cell tower on my campus

oh, shit, what about that Microsoft developers deal where you can get an 8525 for hella cheap. Like $100 or something...

Argh, lemme see if I can find it

And actually I think you should be getting a w810, you don't sound like you need and 8525, if you really want to try a smartphone you should be looking at the 3125 or a blackjack.

However for someone signing a contract the 8525>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>8125.

im going to bed, i'll check this shit in the morning and possibly bump it

thanks for the info guys...aside from Incandescent, he can use my pubes as floss.

40% thinner + highspeed internet + better KB.

I mean if you want to justify not wanting to pay to upgrade that is your choice but the 8525 is a significant upgrade over the 8125 and is overall a much better package.

There was like a 10 page thread about it, I was going to jump on it but instead will wait patiently for the next two weeks when my contract ends and decide what I want to do then.

i'll try this for a few days see what i think i dont have the plan specified for roaming so i dont want to get dicked with charges, but i guess cause it says its included i wont? im a noob at this shit.

Built in GPS, Expandable Storage, Replacable battery, OS that supports 3rd party apps, real buttons that I can feel through gloves and use without looking, TV out, Hardware multimedia buttons, etc, etc.

But yeah, the Treo 750 is nice too. Def like the smoother styling
