Cineworld unlimited pass

I have been to some of the recomended screenings and also been given some vouchers for offers on food and drink but I usually got this when I have gone up to buy my ticket and they usual meantion about any available extras there!
Although I have not had any extras for a few months and I have never had any festivals or competitions in the 4 years that I have had my card. I dont think these extras are very well promoted by the Cineworld staff!

I have had an Unlimited Card since the start in 2000 and never get any of these things. I think this all started later. I think I once got a 50p off popcorn voucher with the letter telling me of the price increase last year but that's about it. Mind you I never buy food in a cinema so it doesnt bother me.

well if there's any ultra pedantic people out there who've got a stella knowledge of film and know of any big holliwood blockbuster who has in part been financed by a french or asian backer, feel free to jump in now!!!!

your welcome :D :D

i have not read an age limit, but as it is paid for by direct debit, you would need a bank account that allows for debits to be taken (ie a current account) unless they allow it from parents accounts for teenagers etc

I had one when it used to be UGC and have one now and its probably the best purchase I make each month. There have been days when I have seen three films in a go and often at weekenRAB I will just go for the first showing and not come back until late at night. When I have so much time off (may-october) at Uni I need something to pass the time

think it should have an upper age limit though. always get really old people doddering about in art house and teen horror, the kind that are only in there to escape the rain.

went to see 'when a stranger' yesterday and got a few of them who obviously couldnt get into that times showing of da vinci in the theatre. talked through out, rustled their plastic bags and blew their noses all through the film. wish i was my daRAB age where i could go over to shout at them without looking gimpy!!!

you can pre-book, but I don't think they can guarantee seats together. but then our cineworld doesn't give seat numbers anyway for most films, so that's not a problem.

One problem I have found is that the CW in Eastbourne tenRAB to keep films running for weeks and if it is perceived a blockbuster they will show it in two screens so although the card allows unlimited use there may not be any new films to watch for several weeks. But you will get your moneys worth, see three films in a month and you are up on the deal.

Really? Can you do it online or do you have to ring them up? Or actually go into the cinema to do it?

Thanks for that, I'm sorry I gave the wrong info. I could've saved ages standing in line!

I too go to the CW in Eastbourne and I totally agree. This very week is a perfect example. De Vinci Code on two screens and X Men on two screens. As it is six screens there are only four films to choose from, one of which is MI3 which has been on for several weeks. A lot of films are advertised here but never shown.

I have had my unlimited card now for 4 years from when it was UGC all the way through to it being Cineworld and it is the best thing I have ever done. I normally see at least 2 or 3 films a week and often go to see films that I normally wouldnt go to see!
I have only pre-booked for films before using the unlimited card but only over the phone!

Yeah I have seen some real rubbish over the years manly with Hally Berry such as Catwoman and Gothika!
To be honest over the last month or so I have not been going that much so only seeing about 1 film a week on average. I just see it as if you are paying

I know this is a big problem around the summer time as CW only show the big blockbuster and a few other films so you dont get much selection!
Any independent films such as Brick is normally gone after 1 or 2 weeks so you have to rush to see them!

'lukieboi82' - the audio described & subtitled screenings are definitely included with the card. Just make sure the cinema you go to has regular showings of these.

'JEFF62' & 'Motthus' - as far as extras are concerned, I haven't seen much from Cineworld since the card was rebranded from UGC to Cineworld. Unfortunately, I think for festivals you have to watch out for the local ones and be quick to pressure your local managers for inclusion. I don't know how keen Cineworld will be about doing offers, as such, for Unlimited now.

'tigerboy' - I agree, slightly, with you about age limits. Even Unlimited customers should be aware and even more curtious then normal moviegoers. They should at least use common sense when in a film they don't want to see.

'diabeticguy' - I agree it would be nice to be able to have a wide range of movies at most times. Too bad they can't convert all the 6 screen places into 12 screen. I think it is the distributors putting too much pressure on companies to saturate the market with their blockbuster films that really hurt the small market theatres.

Just my opinions, of course... :D

In answer to the OP, there aren't any actual catches - just small print....

1. You have to commit to 12 months subscription when you sign up. (Although they'll let you out of it, if you move a long way from a cinema).

2. You can only pre-book at the cinema on the day. (I guess this is to give full-price customers priority).

3. Even in London, with access to 7 or 8 cinemas, you'd be struggling to see more than 2-3 decent films every week. (But if you do, it's about
