Cinemas and Food and Drink

Just been to the cinema- a "Cineworld" (ex UGC) one as it happens. All of a sudden they have a new policy of 'no food and drink beyond this point' as they take your tickets. Thats convenient isn't it and just in time for half term too- and of course just after the tickety man, theres the food and drink counter where they can charge you

Do people actually read these forums at all?

Anyone?

And yes. 3 hours is fine to go without food. It's part of having a concentration span and it's also more considerate to those around you so they don't have to listen to you slurp, chew and rustle...

It depenRAB on what time you go to the cinema? I tend to go early afternoon (about 1pm) so I've missed out on lunch a few times. :)

However, I am exceedingly quiet unlike others around me who eat their popcorn loud and individually or those people who disturb your concentration by kicking the seats as they manoeurve themselves so their feet drape over the top of the seat next to you.

The Cinema near me has the same policy regarding food and drink brought in from off the premises however, because of the layout they have no way of enforcing it and therefore makes it obslete.

I bring my own drinks at least when I go to the cinema.

I'm with swirlygirl on this one. Are there really people who can't go without food for 3 hours? Do they set their alarms for the middle of the night and get up for a quick snack and drink?
