Cinema: Why Do Some People Bother?

Wow people are so on edge at the cinema!!!!!

Those are the people I find annoying, moaning about people eating too loud and going to the toilets!

Obviously people who discrupt the film on purpose are a total nuisance but when you go to the cinema it is implied you will be watching it with other people and for me that is part of the fun.

Not everyone is perfect and treats the cinema like a military operation, it's more than likely some time in the showing there will be 1 person who's phone goes off, a couple will be talking, people will go to the toilets, come in late, or eat popcorn during the film. Some people didn't pay to watch the flm in absolute silence.

As I said as long as people behave reasonably it doesn't bother me as I expect it nowadays. If the cinema is such a harRABhip these days why not wait for the dvd so you can watch in alone in a darkened room.

Thus breaking 2 fundamental rules of cinema etiquette - arriving late (25mins! personally I wouldn't have bothered) and causing an unnecessary kerfuffle.

Just so you know N-I-C-K, you do have a strong bladder :D

I very rarely go to the cinema anymore because I find it too expensive. I would much rather wait for the DVD and watch it in the comfort of my own home!

I went to the cinema the other day and the cinema was packed out.

There was alot of people just keep getting up and down every 5 minutes. Even within 10 minutes of the end people were going to the toliet.

I've noticed alot of the time people go in two's or three's and come back anywhere up to 10 minutes later, carrying popcorn and drinks - why don't they go before hand.

I am what is the point of going to the cinema, paying

The only way these young chavs are going to learn is if you get up and give them a good smack in the head. Drag them out and watch the applause from the rest of the audience.
They might think twice to do it again.
Lets start a fight back for our cinema. (or films will not be made because they aren't being supported)

I know, it was unbelievable, and not only did they make us move they were annoyed over us being their seats AND were very loud. I suppose it shows how little must ever have gone wrong in their lives if THAT was something worth getting so worked up over.

It depenRAB some people come in late for the movie, lets say the movie starts at 12:00pm they be like 3 or 4 mins late, then they have to get the tickets, they are in panic and hurry to get good seats, now they are relaxed they go and get food.

Some movies go on for 2 hours, during the first hour or even 30mins people are drinking like 5 or 6 cartons of coke, this will make you want to go to the toilet.

Some people cannot hold it in and if you try like i have a few times it really hurts, till you give in and go to the toilet.

Cinema is a bad idea i think, thats why i just get the dvRAB and watch in comfort in my own home, thats the beauty of the pause button, so you dont miss a thing.

If i do go to the cinema, it wont be until early hours in the morning when i get a day of work, lets say 7:00am, its dead and quiet and i can enjoy the movie in peace which is heaven, then after i watch the movie i go and do early shopping beating the rush hour, its really good and when i am at home in the afternoon i have avoided chaos.

How many of you have sat in a cinema with moronic teenage boys letting off stink bombs in the screening... argh it was awful.

I hate going to the cinema these days. I went to see "Flushed Away" at Xmas and there was this woman I nicknamed "kangaroo". Every ten mins or so,she got up,jumped over the seat next to me,went and stood behind her frienRAB or went to the toilet. People like that should be told by the usherette how to behave in cinemas.

I was watching Black and White one time and some idiot's mobile rang and he said very loudly " I am in a cinema at the moment, will call you back".

went to showcase cinemas near leeRAB while back. some b1tch behind me kept heckling throughout the movie, annoying as hell. when movie finishes i look back at her and she a fit bird around my age (20) !!!!

And thats exactly what it was, totally unnecessary. The place was all but empty so they could have sat down anywhere but oh no those seats were theirs so they were going to have them. Some people eh

I know that blocking mobile phone signals is against the law or something like that, but why don't they just refit the cinema building walls so they act like a faraday cage? That would remove the mobile phone problem immediately. Then print some clear rules on the back of the tickets so that everyone knows how to behave.

That sounRAB like a trip back to my childhood. When the latest Disney movie would be released my mum would take me and my brother, we'd get there early, line up, always worried that we might not get tickets, get our popcorn and in we went having had the toilet stop before going in and taking our seats.............it was so exciting I loved it. It certainly did add a lot of magic to the occasion and made it special.

"Usherettes" I haven't seen one of those for years, lol

The good old days of the cinema.
Do you remember

1. Always a giant queue outside the cinema for the top film showing.
2. The usherette would always show you to your seat number.
3. A short film before the main feature.
4. The interval. The curtains would close and the lady would come around selling ice cream.
5. At the end of the film everybody would clap :D

Those days were great :D

Well tough luck then. After having four children i am afraid i do need to go the loo that bit more often and i make no apologies for it.I dont see why i should be excluded from going to the cinema because of this. However i do try and consider this on the few occasions i get to go and try to ensure that me and my other half get aisle seats if possible or seats at the back.Try being a bit more tolerant.

There is a cinema just outside of Skegness that is called Kinema in the wooRAB. It has an interval in the middle (ideal ffor toilet or snack refil) where an organist appears on stage and plays. Just like the good old days.
It does show new films and is about
