The VUE cinema in Plymouth is still pretty smart despite being a few years old now. It used to be a Warner Village cinema. The new owners have changed very little, but kept it smart.

I think it's

I was in the Chimes cinema in Uxbridge the other day and the seats were in terrible condition. The cover on one had been totally ripped off.

They also did not sweep up the food mess. Pop corn was every where! Talk about a breeding ground for vermin.

Vue in Aberdeen is cool. Clean, and the seats are laid out fabulously so no matter who sits in front of you, you can still see over them...

Marvellous...

And it's about

theres this new cinema where i am used to be ugc but now cineworld and the screen is titlted slightly and the seats recline a bit aswell so its like ure watching a movie whilst layin down

After posting on this thread the other day i emailed UCI customer services and actually got a reply.
Apparently UCI was sold to Odeon Cinemas 12 months ago. The Odeon wanted to close a lot of the cinemas without any consideration as to how well they performed. My local UCI is one of the best attended in the country, according to UCI, but Odeon wanted to close it, possibly because the land is worth a lot more.
According to my reply the Office Of Fair Trading got invloved (?) and have said that it cannot be closed but has to be sold on as a profitable going concern.
Now my UCI is being bought by Vue and then some money may be spent on this place.
So, this could exp[lain why some UCI cinemas have been left to rot. Still bloody annoying that they charge for something that they know is not up to scratch.

prices are a complete rip-off these days, that price should be an entry fee and let you stay as long as you like and watch as many as you want.
whatever happened to virgin cinemas or that stelios fella who was gonna roll out a chain of easycinemas?

total ripoff. the best seats are in canada. they are like sofas/ they are designed so you dont strain you neck looking at the screens. tehy are huge so you can sit crosslegged in them. thank god for fat people!!!

pricing is totally wrong. i guess as less people go to see moviesa t the cineme athey are raising the prices to try and maintain profits.

student prices here are 5.50!!!! far too expensive. i mainly go on orange wednesdays :D
