Cinema ruined Pirates 3 for me

Film starts, ok cool this looks great. But wait what is that writing on the screen? must be part of the film. No its subtitles. Seems they forgot to tell us theyd subtitled the film whihc made it well and truly difficult to really watch the film. Its all part of the discrimination act yet they dont realise theyre pissing everyone else off. Add that to the gits behind me who wouldnt shut up and kicked our chairs.

Dont go to Cineworld

Your laziness was the problem there not Cineworld! You should have checked before hand if it was a subtitled or audio described film.

AD or S would be on the cineworld website and at the cinema listings. So, you only have yourself to blame!

Are you sure it's listed as subtitled on the web site? I've had an admittedly quick look and can't see any reference to Pirates being subtitled, although it does make it clear that other films are. Whereas the Vue web site has Pirates of the Caribbean (ST) listed separately.

How dare you, read my post in future. They made NO reference to subtitles, no message on the ticket office, no message prior to the film, no steward telling us. So no I Am NOT to blame

Same here! Granted, about 90% of the people in there were children, but please..

Also, they all had mobiles which none of them switched off, there were a few infront playing with theirs for a bit of it and someone behind us had a low battery! But it's our own fault for not saying anything.

If your local newspaper has Cinema listings it generally tells you if a screening is Subtitled or Audio Described, at least it does in the Sheffield 'Star'.

It should tell you on the listings at the cinema itself if there are any subtitled performances and the staff at the box office should have given you prior warning that the perfomance was subbed.

You should have walked out and complained, you would have got a free ticket for a future showing or your money back.

The subtitles really help me, personally. I can't watch ANYTHING on TV or at the cinema without subtitles.. [With me it's the opposite, if there's no subtitles = i'm annoyed!]
