Ok so here's my problem. I've started up a 60 gallon fish tank and want to keep Cichlids. The tank has been running for over a moth, maybe close to a month and a half, (with cycle in it). I have it almost completely decorated all that's left are the plants and a tall piece of driftwood. I used sand for the bottom and some coral rocks which are both supposed to help raise the pH of the tank to just acidic which is what Cichlids prefer, but here's where my problem comes in my pH is at about an 8 and I don't know how to raise it. I've tried adding pH down which is supposed to lower the pH to the acidic side but it hasn't budged. I think I've gone through almost half the 473mL bottle when its only supposed to take 2teaspoons to raise it. What can I do?
