Schumer Says It ‘Makes Sense’ To ‘Strangle [Gaza] Economically’ Until It Votes The Way Israel Wants

This past Wednesday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) delivered a wide-ranging speech at an Orthodox Union event in Washington, D.C. The senator’s lecture touched on areas such as Iran’s nuclear program, the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and several domestic policy issues.

During one point of his speech, Schumer turned his attention to the situation in Gaza. He told the audience that the “Palestinian people still don’t believe in the Jewish state, in a two-state solution,” and also that “they don’t believe in the Torah, in David.” He went on to say “you have to force them to say Israel is here to stay.”

What would have happened if a Republican Christian said "strangle" a people because they don't believe in the New Testament?

Actually I think it's just the first 5 books of the Old Testament.

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

Do you want me to start posting the crack pot shit people like Bachman and Boehner say?

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out under another, then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, on the 1976 Swine Flu outbreak that happened when Gerald Ford, a Republican, was president, April 28, 2009

2. "I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America?" -Rep. Michelle Bachmann, calling for a new McCarthyism, Oct. 2008

3. "Take this into consideration. If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the Census Bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations at the request of President Roosevelt, and that's how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps. I'm not saying that that's what the Administration is planning to do, but I am saying that private personal information that was given to the Census Bureau in the 1940s was used against Americans to round them up, in a violation of their constitutional rights, and put the Japanese in internment camps." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, June 2009

4. "During the last 100 days we have seen an orgy. It would make any local smorgasbord embarrassed … The government spent its wad by April 26." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, accusing the Obama administration of premature fiscal ejaculation, May 2009

5. "That's why people need to continue to go to the town halls, continue to melt the phone lines of their liberal members of Congress, and let them know, under no certain circumstances will I give the government control over my body and my health care decisions." -Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), a pro-lifer who completely missed the irony of using the same slogan as the pro-choice movement in arguing against health care reform

6. "Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas." -Rep. Michelle Bachmann, April, 2009

7. "There are hundreds and hundreds of scientists, many of them holding Nobel Prizes, who believe in intelligent design." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, Oct. 2006

8. "I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us 'having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,' and the people -- we the people -- are going to have to fight back hard if we're not going to lose our country." -Rep. Rep. Michele Bachmann, March 2009

9. "Does that mean that someone's 13-year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus? That night, mom and dad are never the wiser." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, on health care reform's potential to dupe parents, October 2009

10. "I don't know where they're going to get all this money because we're running out of rich people in this country." -Rep. Michele Bachmann, accusing the Obama administration of plotting to divert money from Republican to Democratic districts and planning to tax the wealthy to fund the windfalls, Feb. 2009

Correct.

The Tanakh is the sum of the following stories. Notice that "Tanakh" is an acronym for Torah, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim:

Torah: Books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Nevi'im (Prophets): Book of Joshua, Judges, I Samuel, II Samuel, I Kings, II Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Zecharia, and Malachi.

Ketuvim (Writings): The Books of Pslams, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra and Nehemiah, I Chronicles, and II Chronicles.

Wow, people have differing opinions/beliefs/theories? Some odd, some mainstream, and some that are outright fuckbaggery?

Wow, just wow.

PS; Roosevelt WAS a worthless douchebag.

So; Bachmann was somewhat right, once. Hey, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Which is why I have several multiple page threads on the first page of this forum alone

Only the ones where people such as yourself are too dense to understand a problem.

Wait, are you talking about the threads you make where it's clear you didn't read the article, or are you talking about the threads where you make more crackpot arguments?

No I'm talking about the ones that are hijacked by goons who didn't read the article that I posted and make crackpot arguments.

You are deeply entrenched in a point of view. You need to gain more insight on other points of view in order to improve your arguing skills on a forum.

Why is this important? It's important because when you know what your opponents think and how they justify their arguments, you can better counter them. Currently, you are limited by your own feelings. You find yourself pitted against arguments that you cannot argue against because you lack sufficient data.

Your opinions are not popular because they go against industries that are 100% necessary for maintaining your lifestyle and the lifestyles of millions. But that's just the beginning. Think about what I'm saying...

I understand most if not all arguments (when they make sense) that counter mine, however, I just don't care enough to acknowledge and discuss each and everyone of them.

Often times the counter arguments are so absurdly off topic and you guys jump on it and then claim victory because I don't bother discussing it.

Not sure, but if he was a Black Democrat, he'd be Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

If it was a Black Democrat and the word "Strangle" was changed with "Boot to the throat", it would be Barack Obama.
