Anyone remembers this Chuck Jones made sequel or midquel to Rudyard Kipling's "Jungle Book"?

I certainly did when i was a kid, it's a good animated special.

British actor Roddy MacDowell was the narrator and voices of this Chuck Jones Mogwai Jungle Book cartoon special from 1976 (But the Disney Jungle Book is better!).

Did one of the wolves in Chuck Jones Mogwai's Brothers special look like Wile E. Coyote of Looney Tunes fame?

Back in 1984 when this was released on video, Disney tried to sue Chuck Jones over the rights of The Jungle Book in animation especially to Filmation whom announced a few fairy tale animated movies and Fox animation for Peter Pan and The Pirates but Chuck Jones animation, Filmation and Fox animation all defended their visions of fairy tales telling Disney that there were fairy tales and books created in the public domain before disney made them and they all won the case over disney.

As well they should have. Disney didn't create the Jungle Book nor Peter Pan. They were created by Rudyard Kipling and J.M. Barrie, respectively. Disney can't claim ownership of either of those classics.

There were a total of 3 Jones-directed productions based on Kipling stories. Besides Mowgli's Brothers and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, the third one was The White Seal. As I recall, Roddy McDowell had voice actor involvement in all three.

No, Orson Wells had voice involvement in "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi".

Chuck Jones also produced 3 Cricket specials for ABC 1973-1975: "The Cricket in Times Square", "A Very Merry Cricket", and "Yankee Doodle Cricket".
