2005 Chrysler Sebring. Turn off car long enough to pump gas. start car, gear indicator shows that trans is in All Gears... PRNDL23. Also check engine light is on. If i drive it like this it will not shift out of first gear. the only way to fix it is to shut car off and wait 10 minutes or so. turn the key and display reads that the car is in park. Then i drive and everything is fine except maybe the check engine light stays on. if the car is left off for several hours the check engine light also goes away.
This seems to be something electrical so does anyone have any idea what is wrong. autozone did a diagnostic on it and i can't remember the code but it said lost contact with tcm. they didn't know what that meant.
