hello everyone im having problems with this car that my wifes parents gave us, two weeks ago i was having problems such as the car would chug when accelerating as soon as i would start it up and it would get hot fast( you would have to shut the car off and wait not even 30 seconds).
so the next day i checked the oild and the coolant, they both had a decent amount about half on both, so i filled them up and now two weeks later the coolant is half gone and the oil is half gone again.
the chugging part and getting hot didnt start happening tell this morning. my wifes friend borrowed the car to drive one hour away and when it got back it started doing this.
the problem only happens once in awhile. i was thinking of a fuel pump or fuel filter? just thought id check with you guys,
by the way the car has gone near 1500 miles in the past two weeks. is over 6k miles for the recommended oil change.
but like i said this problem didnt happen once i filled the antifreeze and oil. not sure if the oil is getting bad at the bottom or something?
