I have a friend that has a 1998 Chrysler Sebring. She said it was running fine, pulled into the drive way shut it off. The next day it wouldn't start, so she took it to a shop. They said she need a new distributor because the back side(bottom) was getting oil on it,,,,What? Don't all distributor have oil on bottom of them.
Well she got it back from the shop. I put a Dist cap and rotor on because they were completely burnt out. Now it will try to start and backfire out the throttle body. It is as loud as a 12 Ga.
I think the shop put the distributor back in 180 degrees out or the timming belt is off.
It is back at the same shop, they are telling her the same thing a $300 Distributor.
Any ideas?
Thanks
