Chrysler 300c sat nav problem?

I recently purchased a Chrysler 300c, and I can now understand the map facility. However, whenever the VoiceOver attempts to give directions, the radio plays and the voice directions cannot be heard. I have searched the menu etc. and I can't see how to turn the radio off without turning the sat nav off too.
Any help would be great, thanks
