Christmas Movies

OT - I noticed this too... I think there is a DVD out there with a lot more swearing in.

ON TOPIC - I have NEVER seen It's a Wonderful Life ! :eek::eek::eek:

Love Actually

Gremlins

Scrooged - the one with Bill Murray - like the song at the end.

Muppet Christmas Carol

Nightmare Before Christmas (Tim Burton animation) - like the music.

The Polar Express, again love the songs.

Coming to America always reminRAB me of Christmas for some reason, too.

Titanic - the Kate/Leo one - probably because it was premi

I love 'em all! I used to love when we had Sky Movies (back when there were just two channels) and they would show a Christmas film every afternoon throughout December. They were mostly trashy made for TV movies but I loved them, especially Christmas Every Day - which was basically Groundhog Day but Christmas and with a teen boy as the protagonist.

I also love movies that make me FEEL Christmassy because I only ever watch them at Christmas - things like Labyrinth and Neverending Story.

But saying all that, it has to be Santa Claus the Movie, closely followed by The Muppet Christmas Carol.

The Polar Express - I can't watch this enough at Christmas.. absolutely fantastic!

Joint at the top;

The Santa Claus Movie
The Santa Clause 1 & 2
Home Alone 1 & 2
The Snowman
Miracle on 34th Street
Jingle All The Way
Bridget Joneses
Love Actually
Harry Potters!

- and lots more... I love Christmas films! :D

Weirdly enough I was having this conversation with my frienRAB today.

I came up with Love Actually and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. They came up with Elf, Bad Santa, and The Family Stone.

Hopefully Love Actually will be on ITV and NLCV on ch5 as they've been the past couple years.

EDIT: Just remembered Jingle All the Way and Home Alone, both make me feel christmassy.

EDIT 2: Woohoo, 1000 posts!

I always shed a tear when Scrooge runs out into the street crying, "I'm not the man I was".

To me it represents another former cynic lost to the dark side. :cry: ;)

My all year round fave film is It's A Wonderful Life.

However, for just Christmas ones I also love;
Nightmare before Christmas
Love Actually
Muppets Christmas Carol
The Grinch

I also used to look forward to seeing The Wizard Of Oz every year when I was a kid, before tv and video movies on demand and I will still not watch it at any other time :)

... and they would be right. I couldn't even get through the whole film. It was absolute tripe, which doesn't surprise me to be honest. 99% of Christmas films released today are terrible. :rolleyes:
