Christmas Movies

I've just seen the Christmas books thread in (surprise surprise) the Book forum, and thought it would be a good idea for in here too.

Any films you can recommend with a feel-good Christmas theme around them? Any you have particularly enjoyed?

My favourite is Little Women, but only the version with Elizabeth Taylor in it - don't like the others.

I like it's a wonderful life.

But my ultimate fave is A christmas carol. There's areallynice old version I like.. think it's the 1951 version.

A favourite of mine is 'Serendipity'.

I tend to watch it every year usually around Christmas Eve when I'm wrapping the pressies!

It's not your usual Christmas movie but I love it :)

That's the Alistair Sim version - and it is also out on Bluray very soon.

My Xmas films I usually alternate over 2 years but every year I find time for :

The Snowman
Father Christmas (US version without Mel Smith)
Tom & Jerry: The Night Before Xmas
Disney: Santas Workshop & The Night Before Xmas & Mickeys Christmas Carol

Santa Claus the Movie (The one with Dudley Moore, watched it ever since I can remember and refuse to accept its Christmas until I've watched it.)

Also the Tim Allen Santa Clause movies. I like those.

my favourite christmas feelgood movie is actually Die Hard. A lovely film set at christmas, that features a family reunion, and snow and all that fun stuff, oh and lots of explosions

SNAP!! :D I watched it when I was full of cold just before xmas last year but it made me feel good when I'd watched it.
I also always have to see Gremlins, Muppet Christmas Carol and Elf.

I am determined to watch It's A Wonderful Life this xmas for the first time. I bought the dvd years ago to watch with the family when i go back but just never got around to it

My favourite Christmas movies are: The Christmas Shoes (a real tear-jerker), The Santa Claus (Tim Allen) and The Polar Express.

I absolutely love all cheesy true movie style Christmas movies though - I can't wait 'til my week off in December to watch them!
