Christmas Carol which version do you like?

Christmas Carol is one of the great stories, with a timeless message. Everyone knows it.
I though this years version was fabulous-it was the first film I have ever seen in 3D and I thought it was superbly atmospheric.
I like the Patrick Stewart one as well-its been shown on Christmas Eve for quite a few years now on Channel 4 and now 5. One thing about the Stewart version-the scene where he finally gives up his love in the pursuit of money is beautifully done. She walks away and fades turning her head just in case, and there is nothing he can do. Tremendously sad.

The Muppet version is on over the next few days on Sky

Today at 2:30pm Sky Screen 1 (ch 312 and 332 HD)
Friday 10:45 and 5:30pm Sky Family (ch 306 or 336 HD)
Sunday 1:25pm Sky Christmas (ch 303 and 314 HD)

The new CGI film with Jim Carrey as Scrooge is fantastic!

I'd say out of ALL the versions ever done it pulls off the Marley scene better than any other, and also the ending after Scrooge wakes up, somehow it was done in a way that made it mean more...I'm not sure exactly how. Brilliant performance by Carrey as Scrooge, and Gary Oldman in his roles of Marley and Bob Cratchitt. The way they did the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come was pretty unique too, it was more like just a shadow on the ground, creepy and effective. The added 'chase' moments didn't ruin it either like I thought they might. That's probably because Carrey was so good, and the dialogue faithful as it ALWAYS should be.

The Muppets' version is also amazing. I would watch it over the Alaistar Simm version any day and it's miles better than the Patrick Stewart version which IMO is a bit boring.
