Christians: What does the term "fornication" actually mean in the bible?

Let's say there are two young adult Baptists (or other Protestant) saved Christians...Let's say it's a mid 20's male and an early 20's female who are saved, believe very much in the Word of God. They are still somewhat "worldly" and behave in "worldly" ways...such as sometimes going to bars, sometimes smoking cigarettes, but are nonetheless passionate about the Lord (compared to average people). They go to church twice a week, read their bibles, repent, etc.

Let's say they get romantically involved and are very much into one another, especially because of physical attraction and similar belief systems. Now, at what point does their romantic involvement (since they maintain their Christianity and love of God) become hypocrisy or also "fornication?" Is it if they kiss, have oral sex, have hand-to-genital touching, cuddling together as they sleep, sleep in the same bed?

I personally feel like it is very good that such a couple exists and that they both strongly believe in the Lord. But, hypothetically speaking, what behaviors of this couple would cause them to set a bad example of Christians if they go around talking about God...yet people know they are being romantic with one another? Does the term "fornication" prohibit certain behaviors amongst "saved" Christians, young adult couples? When does it cross the line into breaking God's laws?

And also...is the male in this relationship more or less the one who has to draw the line since men are supposed to be more judicious, esp. since he is older than the female? Does God expect the male to set limits on "fornication" with another saved female so that he not "entice" her to act out in lust or fornication, even if she wants to?

Please let me know. I'd love to hear your opinions on this, as I have not given it much thought myself. God bless.
