Christians? What about school?

If you are not wealthy enough to get into a "Christian school", can't find a bible school, or no homeschool... should you drop out of school to learn about Christ with all the time you didn't have to go to school? Yes you may say this person is a radical Christian but aren't we not suppose to conform? (schoolwise) Would you rather be in your little bubble than out preaching and learning? is this not modern day persecution? This is all just a thought (no one that i know is going through this)... Tell me your thoughts on this subject or just on conforming? How far would YOU think we would have to take the term conforming to?
Christmas fairy- So you know the future? you know that you will be out of school before you die? Hmm ok...
You all have good answers wether I want to accept them or not... I give you all credit... thank you : )

It's an interesting thought. Conforming or living? It's kinda easy to say, I'm only going to be friends with Christians and only listen to Christian music, but to be honest with you, that isn't how Jesus lived. He lived with the prostitutes, beggars, cheaters, and liars. He never said, you need to be good and give away all your possessions before you can follow me. He calls us to show the world that we are Christians by loving others.

Love your brother as yourself. If we aren't able to love people we can see with our eyes, how can we love God who we can't see?

I think it's more important to work on being a good witness to others first than worry about secluding yourself to commune with God.

I'm a christian and I believe in a separation of church and school.

Learning about the bible and other things in the same place is not the way to go. Mostly because in science they tell you there's no proof of evolution, when in every regular school they give you proof.

School is important but one does not spend their whole life in school. One is free to learn of Christian things outside of school. Why would one need to quit?

I would pray because God may be leading to a school to help you learn so you can be a preacher. Just pray and God will lead the way for what he wants you to do.

I would rather be engaged with the Lord Jesus as my life, intead of being in some worldly "school" and/or worldly "university" learning lies in textbooks and then regurgitating it on tests.

You don't spread the gospel by hiding in a bubble. School is one more place that Christians can spread the word of God, if nothing else by being an example, like Jesus was. You don't have to be a preacher to do the Lord's work, you can do that with (almost) any job.

God told us to read his word to have faith. He didn't say to read it to have intelligence. He gave us brains. To waste them is completely foolish. I have ONE life on this earth. I want to glean every possible thing I can during the little time that I have on this place -- every pice of knowledge I can, every experience I can think of, everything! Why? Because, Christ came so that we would have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY! That is part of my abundant life. I love the fact that I am getting an education, and I love the fact that in a few short days all of it comes to fruition. I am getting my degree in a field that I LOVE with more knowledge than what I had when I started, with more experiences that I had when I started, with a greater understanding of myself than what I had when I started. All of this -- every last bit of it -- is awesome. No, we are not to conform to the world when it comes to morality. You don't get morality from education. You get knowledge from education. People shouldn't act like learning something is a sin.

We shouldn't just close our eyes and ears to something just because we don't like it. Yes, I am a Christian, but do I just ignore the beliefs of other religions? No, I don't. I want to find common ground. There is more out there than you think. Just because something isn't explicitly written in scripture do we just ignore any talk of it? No, because that is entirely foolish. God didn't make us to be fools.

Study to show your self approved... Paul wrote to timothy thus. The fact is that God used Peter a fisherman and Paul a pharisee taught by the best teachers of his day. God will use us in every sphere that he has placed us. Simply yield to his purpose for your life and he will take you place. He is not hindered by your education or the lack thereof.
My sheep hear my voice and the voice of the stranger they will not follow...
