out, then...? why do you go to church in a building to be closer to your God? Wouldn't the woods be more appropriate?

Serious question, sort of.
Note: when I was a Christian, outdoor services like "Easter Sunrise Service" were my favorite, and felt much more spiritual.

I love outdoor services and often when praying you'll find me out under the stars just talking to God. Buildings in the Old Test. were set apart as specific Holy places and that continued through Christianity as one place to actually come and worship Him.

Nature IS God's 'other' bible. The bible refers to nature all the time.... and how nature 'speaks' about God.

'and the sky DECLARES his glory'

'and the firmament SPEAKS of his handiwork'

Nature talks about God, my friend. Listen next time you're out there, and don't forget that he gave us authority here.

EDIT: Even though Jesus said go into your closet and pray... he went into nature to be alone with God all the time.
