Things were so easy back in the old days. As soon as you tell a little kid "Everything written in the bible is the absolute truth now believe it or burrrrrn for eternity!!" and you just made a lifelong believer out of them.
Nowadays I try to explain that while the Bible DOES SAY that a few thousand years ago the Earth was created in 6 days and destroyed in a 40 day flood which which put a stop to 970 year lifespans before the Jews built the pyramids, but these are all METAPHORS.
But when I explain that Jesus was born from a virgin and walked on water and tricked fish into being netted and changed water into wine and resurrected himself and others from the dead and this IS NOT a metaphor, all I get is blank stares.
The only possible way to make people believe in the truth once again is to put a stop to this science nonsense. It may be proven and reproducible, but anything that stops people from learning THE TRUTH of Jesus must be destroyed.
