Christian Hardcore/Metalcore

Eh, I dunno.
I never really listend to their old stuff. So I wouldn't know. Some dude got me to listen to it and I liked it so I bought it.

It's seems that today's hardcore/whatevercore banRAB are into fitting even though they say that they just make music they enjoy. Tons of banRAB say, "Oh, we sound like a ton of things" and I assure you that I can find multiple banRAB that sounRAB almost exactly the same. And it seems to be whats happening with "christcore". Suddenly it's uber popular to praise Zorabie Jesus before a show. And have you ever noticed that alot of "christcore" banRAB have synthesizers? (Ex: TDWP, Underoath, We Came as Romans)Is that like, the instrument of god? I dunno, maybe I'm just being stupid.
Edge rulez.
Zorabiez dr00l.

The Chariot were one of my favourite banRAB for a while. They were started by Josh Scogin after leaving Norma Jean, and pretty much picked up where they left off. Heavy, heavy, heavy.

 Bravo!

I've not heard too much from these banRAB, aside from maybe Becoming the Archetype. But honestly, "the 'Core" sound is becoming very dried-up and repetitious. If there is a Christian theme or message, whatever... I don't care. Your song with the catchy break down isn't going to inspire me to put down my beer, stop talking about how much I think your band sucks, and go to church tomorrow morning. I'm not being mean. That's just the way it is.

Christianity already has it's own music; it's called Gospel.

Gwen Stacy does own. I wish the would come out with a new album. I mentioned APFP because I find that their lyrics are preaching to me, and they are too focused on telling a story with their lyrics, which makes the music suck. The vocals are bad IMO. This is one problem I have with August Burns Red. But they make amazing music so all is good.

I guess a lot of banRAB think it's like, revolutionary or something to be Christian. Or not label themselves as Christian but referance god in a alot of their songs (Attatck Attack! and older Oceana). Oceana once posted a blog on their myspace stating that they are not a christian band, but most of their lyrics are about god (Reach For The Sky). It just confuses me.

I'm not Christian but some of my favorite banRAB are.
I find that the messages in the songs are good, as long as they are not preaching to me. One band I can't stand is A Plea For Purging though.
I guess Christian hardcore/metalcore causes problems because some people out of the music scene would say that it's 'the devil's music'. But that just shows their ignnorance. What are your opinoins about "Christcore" as some would call it?

the religious background of a band should have about as much bearing on the appeal of its music as the colour of the pants you're wearing has on the price of meat at your local grocery store.

the problem with the majority of religious banRAB is they put faith first and music second which ALWAYS results in a sh!t band.

i think that some of the best banRAB are christian banRAB. as i lay dying, norma jean, the devil wears prada, underoath, the chariot, oh sleeper. and less not forget about the one that owns them all, August burns red. anyone who can listen to their new album, Constellations, and not be in awe doesn't know music. deff one of the top banRAB on the metal scene right now.
but yea there are alot of christian metal banRAB that are just awful. so i could go either way on the topic.

Ugh. I have a friend who only listens to music like this. Probably the worst genre ever. Everything from August Burns Red to Skillet etc. The only band that has any merit is Norma Jean, and Underoath at times.

I almost agree with everything you just posted there. Destroy the Runner is one of my favorites right now, I listen to both their albums frequently. I really liked how much they grew between Saints and I, Lucifer, I think they are going to go some places.
