Christian Bale's Creepy Pastime

British actor Christian Bale is reported to have a rather unusual pastime. Apparently he loves to pace the American streets late at night watching people, and then stares at them to see their reaction. Creepy. Lets hope he is not turning into a real American Psycho.
 
Possibly rehersing for a new role or could be preparing an alibi aka the Winona Ryder defence.



Currently he is filming The Dark Knight as batman/Bruce Wayne.
Next movie is Killing Pablo the true story of the Escobar take down.

Neither seems to fit so its not rehersal or alibi guess he is just weired.
 
Apparently he was terrified of working with Russell Crowe on 3-10 to Yuma because of his hellraising reputation. More likely he had stared at him during one of his late night wanderings and was worried about his reaction.
 
That really is scary,not to say dangerous.I know that method actors sometimes meet hardcore criminals and other psychos to give their performance an edge,but they would do that under strict supervision, with a cop and a Tasar gun close at hand.But to interact with the general public like that in a gun culture country is taking things a bit too far.
 
SounRAB a bit spurious to me. He probably said it as a joke and some reporter has printed it as fact. Remember a month or two ago when he jokingly said Russell Crowe was going to be in the nexr Batman film and RAB reported it as true?
