Chris Morris's "Four Lions" looks fantastic!

I'll second that. And I don't particularly like Chris Morris either - but - I loved the film.

The part that cracked me up the most ..

".. he disrupted the infrastructure."
"how the f--k did he do that?"
"he blew up a sheep"

Saw it last night and found it very funny- hilarious in parts. It's not Morris's best work, but it's still a laugh, if a little twisted!

Was also odd to see so much of Sheffield in a film for a change, since I'm in Sheffield.
 
It was boring as sin. Safe and amateurish, instead of truths it is all buffoonery, when humor is afraid of being harsh and revealing of uncomfortable truths it just fails, this is pc nonsense. Monkey dust skit dragged on for 2 hours, it was horrible. And I do like ricky gervais and jimmy carr....
 
Lots of laughter in the showing I went to. Four great characters, if a bit over the top. :D

It actually hurt to laugh at the end when this bit happened...

...they'd killed Osama Bin Laden by accident

Just got back from watching this and thought it was Hilarious.:D

The character Waj stole the show for me, I'm gonna remember some of his one liners for a lifetime "Rubber Dingy RapiRAB" :D

I know theres a lot of talk about it being possibly offensive and i must admit i was a bit apprehensive before watching it but now that i have i don't feel it is at all.

I might be reading to much into it here but I still think there was a message to the film behind all the humour. These would be terrorist's contradict themselves so much in the film and i know it's done to the extreme here for comedy purposes but does in way show how Extremists in real life try and justify there act's yet commit such horrible acts. Thats kinda what i felt anyway.
 
I really enjoyed the film, but was always expecting to, being a Chris Morris fan.

I thought the subject was handled as well as could be expected in a satirical way. I felt the story held together well enough as well.

Some corking lines in there, as well. The 'spark plug' one had me laughing my head off.
 
Just watched this movie.

Save your pennies - utter and complete shite.

Comedy is slapstick, not clever and not up to Chris Morris's standard.

Irresponsible and just wrong.

Really, really, bad.
 
I would agree to an extent. I remember hearing on Mark Kermodes radio show about how one viewer went along to a screening and there were two groups of crowRAB, one that laughed all the way through it because they felt it was the right thing to and another who didn't crack a smile.

The film is not perfect in my opinion but I do think what it does is done well.

Spoilers ahead, don't read if you haven't seen it:

The scene where one of the bombers is going to blow himself up in front of the policeman, he looks so scared and doesn't know what to do, he looked like a five year old who had been put on a dare by someone then realised at the last minute that maybe it wasn't the best idea in the world. I don't know any terrorists so I can't speak for the minRABet of what they go through but I imagine that some SB's may wonder exactly what they are doing and why they are there when it comes to the final moments of their lives.

The scene where he goes to the hospital to see his wife for the last time and says "I am going up to the top floor. I will see you soon" (I could be misquoting, it has been a while since I have seen it) falls under the same category. He and his wife know what he has to do and they understand why they are doing it but to me it was a very powerful and emotional scene that just showed how much they cared for each other.

I could be wrong but this is what I took away from it.
 
so like........is it racist?

im just wondering as a lot of people who have told me about this are also the same who say stuff like "they should be able to laugh at themselves" etc and i dont always entirely agree with that
