Choosing anew phone.

I have a nokia surge on ATT that I LOVE. But the 1 problem and for me,and it's a big one, is that it does not support playlists unless I use OVI suite which, after 4 hours does not complete an 8gb sync.
Some people (not me) may consider this a lot of data to transfer but seriously?, 4 hours and only 60% complete? Just doesn't do it for me.
My needs are simple but concrete, I will present them below and I'm open to suggestions.
1. Carrier is open as I'm nearing the end of my contract. (October)
2. I will consider pay as you go if the phone meets my needs.
3. I hate touchscreens so the phone needs to be "rocket science cool" for me to consider it if it's touch screen.
4.Qwerty keypad that's bigger than those itty bitty blackberry/treo buttons. ( I have fat fingers for a girl)
5. It will be my PRIMARY MUSIC PLAYER. This is HUGE. Must support playlists. And have a decent (read 16g or better) expansion capacity.
7. Notes, or something like it is mandatory.
8. Speakerphone. Why doesn't every phone have this? So simple...
9. Calendar
10. Contacts with room to add special dates would be cool.

Iphone is not completely out of the question but I need to be convinced.

Well, you should try to pick a carrier to start with, even though you say you are open. What if you sign up with T-Mo for instance, and it doesn't have the coverage where you need it. What then?

I'm in NY T mobile is fine. So is ATT Verizon Sprint. I said I'm open to suggestions
