I am interested in wildlife conservation. However, lately I have been feeling a little discouraged because it is hard to find jobs in my area that would help me gain relevant experience (I am a college student). I am sick of working in retail and I am starting to think about the future. Will I be able to find a job after I graduate, etc. I have been thinking about the idea of becoming a science teacher for a while now and originally, it was a back up plan but now I am taking it more seriously. I could teach young people about the environment. There a few things that I am worried about though. The first is that I am shy and while I have worked with kids in classrooms, it has never been alone without another adult figure. The second is that I don't want to regret my decision. I have grown up in schools (my mom was a school secretary so I knew a lot of my teachers/her coworkers outside of the classroom) so I am comfortable there and I am afraid that may be the reason I am thinking about being a teacher. I don't want to look back and regret my decision to not work on environmental issues in the real world instead of teaching it to others. I don't really have a question. I am just looking for advice. Thanks.
