There was a time when selecting a bike was simple. You want to go fast, get a racer. Want to do tricks, get a BMX. Need one for commuting, cruiser. Lazy weekend strolling, easy-rider. There was no such beast as a mountain bike back then. Not that we didn't use bikes on the mountain. We used whatever bike we had to go there.
I really don't get the models right now. Back then, we either picked what was already in the store or assembled one to get the best parts.
Get whatever you feel is right now and just like in true motorcycle fashion, customize the bike later to finetune to your needs.
