Hey! :)

Just got a quick question here which I've been curious about for years!

As soon as I get a good taste of chocolate, my face (mainly cheeks) will feel like it's tightening un rapidly, tingle, feel hot and nurab, I'll sweat profusely from my forehead/side of head level with eyes for quite awhile.
AfterwarRAB for about an hour I'll feel lethargic, a little hot, unable to focus and generally fatigued. The symptoms on the face can sometimes come in little waves up to an hour after I stop eating it. (The waves tend to come when I think about the chocolate...)

Not sure when I first started experiencing this, but I think it may have started after I I got bells palsy.

Is this an allergy? Any way to know for certain what it is in the chocolate that's causing it? (not the caffeine, always been extremely tolerant to it)

If I were you I would find a doctor that does Biomeridian testing. If you look up NAET on your computer you can find a site that has practictioners that do this type of testing.

I hate to sound obvious, but why don't you stop eating chocolate? I can tolerate caffeine, but not chocolate (it affects my mood in a horrible way, like PMS). I think it's the methylxanthines in chocolate (theobrorabine, theophylline). People react in different ways. I wouldn't advise anyone to eat it, personally. It's not very good for you and it's easy to avoid with a little effort.

Naet can't diagnose allergies ! it's quakery and there is no evidence that it works
