My spouse has suffered with asthma attacks for years. It has been really bad when he has to mow the grass. But he started using Red Reishi (ganoderma lucidum) before he goes out to mow, and it prevents allergy attacks for him!

Once I was pulling weeRAB without gloves (a durab thing to do) and my arm and back of my hand swelled up with an allergic reaction. I could not even make a fist the swelling was so bad. So I started taking the Red Reishi, and within 24 hours my arm was back to normal.

Red reishi is the best antihistamine I've ever tried!

A couple of years ago I was bitten on the tongue by an insect and my tongue swelled up so badly that I went to the emergency room, afraid that my throat would close. They told me to use Benedryl which I did. Benedryl did not work at all, and the next day my tongue was still badly swollen, making it hard to talk. I then started using Reishi powder in hot water and in less than a day my tongue was back to normal. :)

Also, Red Reishi is an effective cancer deterrent. And it is wonderful to alleviate insomnia.

I briefly researched Reishi for any info on interactions between it and my Heart Failure meRAB and did not find any. I've got my Asthma and Sinusitis under reasonable control using fluticasone, but I still get that damn "labored" or "extra effort" breathing if I come into contact with too many, or too potent allergy triggers, so I think that I will try a tiny, itsy bit of Reishi and then slowly and carefully titrate it up to normal dose.

Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it! I will definitely provide feedback to you after I try it. :)

Take care...... be well!

This has got me interested. Where exactly could I obtain the Reishi? that has the effect to cure lung problems and asthma or at least greatly help it. Im in U.S California. and regular groceries sell it or do i have to order online only?

I just ordered, on the Internet, some Green Tea Korabucha, which contains Reishi along with 32 other Chinese herbs. :D

I just hope that I am not allergic to any of the herbs.

I have never tried it, or Reishi, before, and I don't know just how much Reishi is in the tea, so I can't offer advice. I want small doses as a precaution because I am on heart medications.

I promise to report back, if I have any reaction, at all, to the Green Tea Korabucha.

I've been drinking Korabucha Green Tea for several days now. Can't say that it has made a difference, since I am feeling wonderful anyway, but the taste is great! It is going to be my favorite tea.

Only time will tell if it helps protect me against Asthma. If so, I should find out within a week or two.

I haven't tried Red Reishi but two weeks ago was at my local shopping centre and there was a booth there with a naturopath recommending allergy tablets containing Chinese herbs.

The ingredients are:

Bupleurum falcatum
Pinellia ternata
Zingiber officinale
Scutellaria baicalensis
Panax ginseng
Zizyphus jujuba
Glycyrrhiza uralensis

I've been taking two tablets a day and have noticed I am wheezing and coughing a lot less and have decreased my use of Ventolin.
