answer this :*)? ok i have 3 fish 1 guppy-boy 1 mollie-girl i think and 1 angelfish(idk)... and wanting some chinese fighting fish (not to fight i just like there colors and stuff like that) Question #1 -but do the males and females rele actually fight each other? Q#2.- can they be with my fish? #3 do the females fight males/other females vice versa for males. ...#4 wat do they eat? #5 how warm for water temp? #6 ratio for breeding males to females? 1:1? #7 how old till they start breeding and when? #8 what do they look like when the females are pregnant pics would be GREAT!? thank you for your long time rele thank you:*)
my fish are very small and in a 10 gal. tank

1. yes if they dont want to breed

2. NO guppies look a bit like bettas and are likely to be attacked. mollies are nippy and would tear a bettas tail to shreds. I have heard that angels are also not compatible. however most tetras, danios, rasboras, corydoras and small breeds of pleco should be fine.

3.
males kill males
males kill females
females kill males
females can live together if:
~you get atleast 5
~you only get odd numbers of bettas
~you get them all at the same time
~the tank is big (ideally 5 gallons per betta)
~the tank is well planted with hiding places

4. Betta pellets/flake with at least 40% protein are an ideal staple food.

5. 26c (80f) (NOT ROOM TEMP!)

6. each one will need to be conditioned then put together when ready 1:1

7. reasonably young. most pet shop bettas are too old

8. egg laying fish become gravid not pregant. a gravid female will look fat and have virticle stripes

bettas are Siamese fighting fish not Chinese fighting fish
they need heated and filtered 5+ galllon aquariums

Hey! so i can try to answer SOME of these questions.
#1: Yes, they can at certain times...if you are looking to breed them you will have to remove the female at one point because the male is the one that looks after the bubble nest.
#2: Yes, they can be with your other fish. This is going to sound stupid but all fish are different and some are more aggressive than others, but in my experience, Bettas are fish with living in a community tank.
#3: Females will not fight eachother, Males will fight other males and occasionally females at certain points in the breeding cycle.
#4: Betta pellets are fine, but they can also eat tropical fish food and they loooove blood worms (dried or frozen) your other fish will like them too!
#5: room temp to cool water is fine, Bettas are pretty hardy fish.

Thats all I can do! Im not too familiar with the breeding information...I only bred guppies. But I can tell you that Bettas are not live bearers and it takes some time because they have to be in a serperate tank so they can form the bubble nest for the eggs.

Well if you go to your local pet store you can ask those questions since I can't keep them all in my head and you should get some good answers.
