Childs Play Remake

I know it was banned in the UK following the jamie bulger murder. But it has been released again in the last few years.

The remake was going ahead acording to the man who does the voice of chucky. However, its been removed from wikipedia and now says its another sequel. Id rather the remake as the first is still the best.

I don't believe it was actually banned? I thought shops just didn't want to sell it, or am I thinking of A Clockwork Orange? or something else... wasn't it also proven that the boys had not even seen the film...

It was shown on freeview television a few months ago, and I remember watching the video at college when someone brought it in, quite rubbish actually.

Apparently, it's still a remake and it's in the script stage.

There was no real link with Child's Play and the Bulger killers, the press just blew it out of proportion when everyone was trying to find excuses, or reasons for why two 10-year-olRAB would do that. They brought up Child's Play because of them throwing paint at James, which is what happens to someone in Child's Play 3. Venables and Thompson had never even seen the film so there was zero connection, but that didn't stop the stupid overreaction.

The Child's Play remake is inevitable but I'm not actually sure which company holRAB the rights to the franchise.Seed of Chucky bombed at the box office so the original series is as good as dead. The "Chucky" character is iconic so a reboot, that is not a spoof is bound to make money. Not only that but Brad is up for the project and a movie about a killer doll isn't exactly difficult to write,so I predict it will be released in 2011.

Also, the Bulger controversy died down fairly quickly if I remember, with Child's Play 3 having it's premiere on Sky Movies or Sci Fi way back in 1995.
