can any one help!!!!!!!! i remember watching an aminated film back in the late 80's set in space. Channel 1-4 long before Ch5 or sky. The main characters were a young boy and his grandfather who had a white beard. Later on in the film the grandfather died. I remember the coffin being shot out of the spaceship and the boy being left alone on the ship. They had a spaceship and travelled to different planets together. It wasn't japanese style (Akira) or in the futuristic style of animated film. Something tells me that it was non-UK and dubbed over - i could be wrong. Please help as this has been doing my head in for years. I have even thought about going to the library and going through old newspapers looking at the TV section but this would take months. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Legend has it that the BBC scrapped their dubbed version, odd thing to do as they only screened it once. Good thing I taped it.:)
As I said, the original subbed versions of Laloux' movies are much better.

Ah, so it is Time Masters, I did wonder, and the funny thing is a member here gave me a copy of it, with English dub, just haven't gotten 'round to seeing it yet. It has a good pedigree too, directed by Rene Laloux (La Planete Sauvage) and with designs by Moebius. I didn't reply earlier coz I haven't seen it yet, I'll have to get 'round to watching it.
