...until 19 yrs old? I'm self employed single parent. I get Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits. My child is 18 and just started a foundation course (further education not higher) he will be 19 and a half when the course finishes. When will the child tax credits stop?? Do they go on at 19 yrs old if they are still in further education or do the child tax credits stop at 19 regardless?
erm squirrel last year when yr mum was getting child tax credits for you did she give give u some money every week for college? my kid is asking me for £30 a week and he gets £30 ema!! did u get hand outs from yr parents or do u work part time?? he sais he needs it for lunch and twards travel.
i agree suba but the thing is if he moves out that child tax credit and child benefit money will stop which is helping me pay off some arrears. i have big arrears from bringing him up cause he dad contributed zero so i always spent more than i had. he knows that he can move out and get benefit himself so if i say no he can walk. The nature of my work is that i make money randomly not exact amounts weekly. so that money helps.
